Community Supported Agriculture!

Back to the CSA's I was talking about! This is probably my favorite aspect of the organic listings! Like I said before, just as a reminder, "A CSA is Community Supported Agriculture. By this I mean the community buys shares, or “memberships”, to the farm and in return receives a basket of fruit, veggies or farm products in season!". Investing into your local CSA is an investment in the welfare of your body, the Bryan-College Station economy, and local sustainable farming! The CSA in the B/CS area is Longbean Farm-google it asap! It is a family that loved the garden in their backyard so much they wanted to upgrade it to feed the community! Thank god they did right? The love put into the produce, pesticide free mind you, is exceptional. Here is a quote straight from the Miller Family "Many people wonder how we can enjoy working such a large garden. But, it is hard to think of what you love doing as work. The time passes so fast before you know it you have hoed to the end of the row...and you can start again."
They grow more than 25 kinds of produce, and this month the items in season are: cucumber, eggplant, okra, sweet and hot peppers, tomatoes, and watermelons! Call now to get on the wait list- it's totally worth it!
