Let us start with the bakers in town! The newest baker is The Village Café in downtown Bryan. Between 80-90% of their ingredients are organic or natural. Quick side note: organic and natural are not the same! Organic is when food is produced using organic means approved by USDA standards and natural foods are chemically unaltered and straight from the chicken or soil its self! Either way you go it's a win/win if you ask me! Aside from the ingredients, The Village Café also contributes to the environment too! It refrains from using refined products, bleached flour, hydrogenated oils and microwaves. Even more outstanding facts about this wonderful place, if you can stand any more, they buy locally from more than 15 local growers AND they conserve water, recycle and reduce! I can talk about this place for days so do yourself a favor and visit The Village Café to see for yourself!
